It was a beautiful May Saturday and we had just enjoyed a nice picnic in the woods of the Swiss Jura Vaudoise.
Then I walked from the woods down to this field, which belonged to those we were visiting, and photographed the scenery. The ponies were grazing but they were very far. So I went down further and filmed them.
But it was only when they were in the stable that I could get these better shots.
Our mother said it would be lovely to paint this, so we first worked on pasting the ponies digitally onto the landscape photo, and then my sister Elisha began painting the ponies.
We could manage to photograph some important stages but please note these are not professional photos
as they were taken at day and also at night, thus changing the color of the painting to not how it actually is.

Now she has finished the three ponies and then it was my turn to paint the landscape background.

Now the painting is complete. It took only around 3 days to paint it and with the help and observations of our mother and sister, it turned out to be very lovely, even if we struggled with the white tube of matte oil paint (which was not Rembrandt).

And then we built the frame, painted and varnished it, then combined it together with the painting. It was a very nice project to work on and we are truly grateful to have been privileged to work on this one.
And we thank the LORD so much for helping us every step of the way!
